Ladies and gentlemen, what you have in front of you is exactly one year of my life. Since this blog was started on Friday 13th January 2006, a lot of things have happened in the topsy turvy world of Stu Joslin. A few have been good, most have been bad, and they’re all recorded for you here to read over and over again.

After 365 blog posts, I feel that it is a good time to stop working on this blog and focus on other projects that don’t require daily attention. The blog will not be deleted for a while yet for anybody wishing to browse, but after this there will be no more posts.

My thanks go to everyone who visited and helped me get nearly 10,000 hits (the blog does not count hits from me), and who has taken an interest in my 2006. Special thanks to Craig, Jon, Matt and all of the others who regularly left comments. They were abusive, but to get the hits I didn’t really mind.

So thank you once again, and I’ll see you on some other website in the near future. For your fix of Stu in the meantime, hit my MySpace at http://myspace.com/stujoslin/

Over and out.

Today I managed to miss yet another careers lesson (I was given misleading information about the room, but it was with Dick Cheese anyway so I’m not bothered) and we played with Jake’s broken beads (I said beads) at lunchtime.

Off for a pint at the Flemish Weaver tonight which will be a nice way to round off the week.

I’ve eaten twelve slices of toast today. Nice.

Also my lovely copy of Ali George’s album Danish Eyes arrived today. Ali is a great local artist, and you can check out his stuff at www.myspace.com/aligeorgesongs

Doesn’t look like the games on Saturday or Tuesday will be on as our pitch is absolutely saturated as I found out last night.

Today was tiring, so much so that I fell asleep in the common room for about ten minutes before Munchie woke me up by singing “500 Miles” by The Proclaimers.  We had another patronising lesson in Media, Coombsy has a theory about why this is. I’m just trying to figure out whether it’s true.

Who wants tonight’s star prize?

Training is on, and its a happy day football wise because Bideford got beat by Willand Rovers last night which effectively puts the out of the title race. Lovely.

Worried Men were good last night as ever.

ICT is getting hilarious now, I thought I was managing to keep up but there are lots of persistent little mistakes that keep happening which I will have to iron out.

Hopefully there will be a training session tomorrow as I haven’t played football since Boxing Day which is a bit of a blow.

Tonight sees the return of the Worried Men to the Two Pigs, but this time I might only stay for the first half as we have the small matter of a pool tournament to finish!

Been playing Colin McRae Rally 2.0 for most of today (yeah I’m cool) as I have done all of my homework now.

Kind of looking forward to going back to school as it will give me something to do.

What a weird game. I went to watch Centre this morning who were playing Swindon outfit Nine Elms United in the Wiltshire Sunday Cup. Anyway, Centre were 3-0 down at half time, and then staged a great fightback to level it at three all. However, shortly after the third goal one of the Nine Elms players dislocated his knee, and an ambulance had to be called. Twenty minutes later when the player (who, it turns out, teaches at the school) had been moved, the game restarted, and remained deadlocked until five minutes from time, when the keeper, in a one on one with your friend and mine Mr Ross Lye, broke his arm. Having used all of their substitutes, a defender took the gloves and the game looked set to be restarted until the referee, for some reason, decided to abandon the game. The minimum number of players needed for a game to continue is seven, so why the referee, who had a side of eleven versus a side of ten and five minutes to go, decided not to complete the fixture is mind boggline, Anyway.

Super Gabor Kiraly!

And lastly, it turns out I was snapped by photographer Robin Foster at the Chippenham v Bath game last week. Have a look here to see the photo.

Well we had yet another postponement today which means I haven’t played football in a week and a half which is annoying. Next game at home to Trowbridge on the 13th January.

Looks like I’m off to Craig’s new place for the first time tonight which should be interesting.

I have spent a quiet day inside revising for ICT and smothering myself with THC (the tatto aftercare cream, not the drug). I am not sure whether I am allowed to play football tomorrow with it, but I figure if I put a pad on it then my Under Armour should protect it pretty well.

I’m off out tonight to watch Night At The Museum, and then we have Welton away tomorrow (my favourite away ground).

Did you know…the item that was played the longest time ago that is still in my iTunes library is Exit To The City by The D4, which had it’s last outing on 28th August 2005, which was during the fat long holiday. What’s yours?

Today I got my first tattoo, a star with my initials written inside it. I got it done at Enhance in Chippenham and it cost me £30, also done in a really quick time (about fifteen minutes). If you’re interested or can’t wait to see me, there’s a picture on my Flickr.

Also got the finished articles from Audio Shelter, they’re up on the MySpace or you can ask me to send you them if you really, really want them. All in all a good, exciting day!
