What a weird game. I went to watch Centre this morning who were playing Swindon outfit Nine Elms United in the Wiltshire Sunday Cup. Anyway, Centre were 3-0 down at half time, and then staged a great fightback to level it at three all. However, shortly after the third goal one of the Nine Elms players dislocated his knee, and an ambulance had to be called. Twenty minutes later when the player (who, it turns out, teaches at the school) had been moved, the game restarted, and remained deadlocked until five minutes from time, when the keeper, in a one on one with your friend and mine Mr Ross Lye, broke his arm. Having used all of their substitutes, a defender took the gloves and the game looked set to be restarted until the referee, for some reason, decided to abandon the game. The minimum number of players needed for a game to continue is seven, so why the referee, who had a side of eleven versus a side of ten and five minutes to go, decided not to complete the fixture is mind boggline, Anyway.
Super Gabor Kiraly!
And lastly, it turns out I was snapped by photographer Robin Foster at the Chippenham v Bath game last week. Have a look here to see the photo.
